THE DAILY BLESSING

To fail is to fall short, to be reduced in stature, to be perceived as weak, to break down, to fall, to not reach your purpose, to lack success. No wonder we are all so afraid of failure! When it comes to failure we must decide by whose rules we are playing. Would you rather be a success in business and a failure as a parent, or vice versa? Would you rather be successful in the world’s eyes, or God’s eyes? Now is the time to decide what standards of success and failure you will live by.
Think of all the special gifts and powers that God has given you--musically, artistically, mechanically, intellectually, and so on. When we leave this earth, we will no longer need these gifts or talents, at least as we now know them. But the one great gift that never fails, keeps on forever, is love.

FAILURE - II Corinthians 12:9
It is obvious that none of us can be successful in every area of life; there are a number of things we will never do well. We do “pretty well” at other things, but at times we won’t even do those things well. We let people down. We batch a job. How do we deal with failure? In this passage, Paul explains a truth that has an unexpected twist. God often works best through our weaknesses. In this way, His power is revealed more clearly, and we are prevented from taking credit for what God has done. So if you feel like a failure, take heart, God may be ready to use you to accomplish something very significant for Him.
